Pot-in-pot cooking, explained: Rice goes in the bottom pan uncovered, protein and veg go in the top pan. Use the lid for steaming, or leave it off — everything finishes together on your Instant Pot's normal cook time.

After dinner: Both pans nest together and go straight in the fridge, then straight back into the Instant Pot to reheat. No extra containers needed.

Getting it out: Use the wire handle to lift the hot pan out — no need to reach into the pot.
